The customer is experiencing an unexplained increase in water usage accompanied by a rising utility bill, despite having no visible signs of water damage inside or outside the home. A preliminary isolation test reveals that the water meter continues to move slowly even when all household fixtures and water-consuming appliances are completely shut off. This continuous, slow movement strongly indicates the presence of a hidden plumbing leak somewhere within the property's water system. To resolve the issue and prevent further monetary loss, three targeted service opportunities have been identified. First, a comprehensive leak detection service using specialized diagnostic tools should be performed to isolate the hidden source. Second, a water service line inspection must be conducted along the main underground line to rule out a slow exterior subsurface leak. Finally, a thorough meter and plumbing verification is recommended to test individual components like toilets, water heaters, and hose bibs for minor, intermittent, or silent leaks that easily evade visual inspections.
